RYE, N.Y. - The access road to Playland has been restricted to one lane on Wednesday as Westchester County workers repair a section of corroded pavement.
The foreman estimated that the road should be cleared today by around 2:30 p.m. However, due to the wet conditions, the foreman does not expect to finish the job today. They team plans on returning either tomorrow or Friday at around 9 a.m., weather permitting of course.
In the meantime, a metal plate will be placed over the foot and a half wide gap where the corrosion used to be. Workers began the project in October, but saw their schedule derailed by the noreaster.
