The July 8 meeting at Rye City Hall was part of a larger debate on whether to amend local laws regarding noise during the summertime when construction is in full swing.

At least 13 developers spoke during the meeting, reported the Record.

It was decided that the debate will continue at the next City Council meeting on August 5.
