Registration Open For Rye YMCA Summer Programs

RYE, N.Y. -- Registration starts this week for the Rye YMCA's summer programs that will run from June 22 to Aug. 16. Members can register starting June 5 and non-members can register on June 7.

The YMCA will offer a number of swimming classes for all ages and skill levels, including parent/baby, pre-school, youth and teen. Adult swim classes are also available. Evaluations are required for most classes.

Rock Your World Music With Armelle will introduce young children to different musical instruments from all over the world. The class will be held on Tuesday and Thursday at 9:30 a.m. for ages 9 to 24 months, and at 10:30 a.m. for ages 2 to 4 years. The class is $130 for members, $140 for youth members and $170 for non-members.

Super Soccer Stars will keep kids active on weekends and teach them soccer skills through positive reinforcement. The program is available to kids ages two through eight. Classes will be held on Sundays between 10:30 a.m. and 12:35 p.m. The fee is $230 for family members, $265 for youth members and $340 for non-members.

Two summer camps will be held at the YMCA for kids ages three to 15. The Kinder Camp for kids between three and five will offer a fun day camp experience with daily swim lessons and activities. The Teen Fitness Camp for teens between 12 and 15 years old offers swimming, sports, strength training, group exercises and more.

Registration is available online for most summer programs on the YMCA website. Online registration is not available for swim classes.
