RYE BROOK, N.Y. – More than four hundred customers in Rye Brook, Rye, and Port Chester were without power Wednesday as heavy thunderstorms rolled in and out of the area all afternoon.
According to Con-Edison, there were 11 separate reports of outages, which the company’s outage map estimates would be restored by 11 p.m. Wednesday. A message left with Con-Edison was not returned.
The area was under a severe thunderstorm watch until 9 p.m. A flood advisory was also in effect until 5 p.m.
