The baby was found in a plastic bag at Brookfield Recycling at 100 Lamont Street, according to police.

Police have ruled the death a homicide and efforts to identify the mother are continuing, spokesman Kieran O'Leary said. No arrests have been made, O'Leary added.

The items are a black skirt and a towel with a floral design.  (Photos above.)

The boy’s body was disposed of in a black plastic bag that was placed inside another garage bag, O'Leary said.

"That outer bag contained some lottery tickets and other items that lead detectives to a deli in Spring Valley," O'Leary said. "There are some dumpsters in an alley behind the deli. We don’t believe the deli is involved; just that someone used the dumpster in that same area to dispose of the body."

If anyone recognizes the items and can associate them with a pregnant female, they should contact the Westchester County Police at 914-864-7700 or through its tip line at 1-877-220-3560. It also accepts tips by email at TIPS@WCCOPS.COM.
