Police Cruiser Crashes In Westchester

A New York State trooper was involved in a two-car crash in Yonkers on Thursday afternoon that slightly injured the trooper and another person.

The crash occurred around 2 p.m. when the state police were dispatched to investigate a personal injury accident on the  Bronx River Parkway in Yonkers, said Trooper Michael Cassella.

One of the vehicles involved in the crash was a marked New York State Police vehicle. Both the trooper and the other driver sustained non-life threatening injuries, Cassella said.

The crash is currently under investigation.
