Beginning on Monday, Aug. 14 work will begin on Olivia Street each day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. starting from South Regent Street, progressing down to Prospect Street as DPW crews perform sewer work.

Earlier this week, Port Chester officials announced that they had reached a settlement in a federal lawsuit to ensure that the sewer system is fully repaired no later than the end of 2019.

Officials said that the entire street will experience intermittent parking restrictions, with a few blocks being completed each day. There will be signage postage and locals have been cautioned to park on side streets. Officials noted that they are hopeful of completing the sewer work on Olivia Street before school kicks off next month.
