Very Hot Weekend Weather Heading For Rye

This weekend will be a hot one, according to the National Weather Service.

Friday will be sunny and hot, with a high near 90 degrees, with an overnight low of around 71 degrees.

Saturday also is expected to be mostly sunny and very hot, with a high near 98 degrees. The heat index values could rise as high as high as 103 degrees. A cold front expected to pass through the area may bring severe thunderstorms with damaging winds and hail in the late afternoon and evening hours. 

Saturday night may see a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 8 p.m. It will remain mostly cloudy with an overnight low of around 74 degrees.

Sunday may start with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9 a.m. before becoming partly sunny, with a daytime high of near 87 degrees. Sunday night is expected to be partly cloudy, with an overnight low of around 66 degrees.
