Rye Town Park Commission members are expected to talk about the different proposals at the board's April 19 meeting, with a final decision in June. Selected finalists are to be invited to make public presentations on May 17, lohud.com reports.

Ideas for changes include offering new features, such as kiddie rides or jet ski rentals, having a catering hall or a greenhouse, and hosting regular park events. Officials are hoping to make the park into something that will complement neighboring Playland, though some neighbors aren't sure they want something on that scale, lohud.com reports.
