Rye YMCA Golf Tournament Deemed A Success

RYE, N.Y. – The YMCA’s 20th Christopher D. Mello Golf fundraiser, which took place on Oct. 6, was a success on all fronts, according to the Rye Y’s Development Director.

“We are grateful to the generosity of our players and sponsors at this milestone event in our centennial year,” said Sally Wright, Rye Y’s development director. “Contributions to our annual campaign allow us to welcome all members of our community, even when they are experiencing financial hardship.”

The event specifically raised funds for he Y’s Financial Assistance program. So far, this year the Y has awarded more than $516,000 in financial assistance to families, adults and youth.
