The Friday, May 13, event was free and open to the community. Laura Tiedge, Rye Y’s Senior Director of Healthy Living, kicked-off the day’s activities with a discussion on the nine dimensions of well-being and helped participants identify strategies for improving their own wellness.
After a provided lunch, participants had the opportunity to sample several classes including Stretch, Tai Chi, Melt, Functional Fitness, Move or Groove, Enhance Fitness and Chair Yoga.
Several more events for older adults will take place at the Rye Y this month, including a presentation on Nutritious Cooking for One or Two on May 20. and A Senior Tech Workshop on May 23.
