The event, set to take place at the YMCA on Locust Street near Purchase Street, is scheduled for 9 a.m. - 2 p.m., according to organizers.
Jason L. Mehler, president of the Rotary Club, said there is a desperate need for donations.
"Whatever your reason, the need is constant and your contribution is important for a healthy and reliable blood supply," Mehler said in an email. "And you’ll feel good knowing you've helped change a life."
Mehler said each donor could help up to three people in need and that healthy donors are eligible to give blood every 56 days, he said.
"You don't need a special reason to give blood," Mehler said. "You just need your own reason."
