WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Connecticut Westchester Hudson Valley Chapter honored participants of last November's Light The Night Walk last week at their Light The Night Awards Party, hosted at the Crowne Plaza in White Plains.

Every Light The Night Walk honors both blood cancer survivors and those who lost their lives to the disease.

The local event took place on Saturday, Nov. 1 at Playland Amusement Park in Rye, and raised $835,000 for LLS’s Connecticut Westchester Hudson Valley Chapter. It was part of $60 million raised nationally toward lifesaving research and support for people battling cancer.

The party honored the teams of co-workers, families and friends who joined forces to find a cure for these cancers.
