"The Capitol is where I saw my first concert back in high school," said Kroll, who grew up in Rye and graduated from Rye Country Day School. "Wherever you go, you try to learn a few facts and references from the town to make the audience feel like you're doing it for them. So to be back in Port Chester, where I know the area so well, I'm really excited for this crowd."

Kroll will be joined by guests Michael Ian Black and Mike Birbiglia for the Thursday, Dec. 12 show, which will benefit the Carver Center in Port Chester. The show will feature stand-up sets from the three comedians, as well as clips from the upcoming second season of his Comedy Central series "Kroll Show."

"We decided to do this as a charity show because we thought it would be a nice thing to do around the holidays," he said. The organization was recommended by his mother, Lynn, who works with a lot of charities in the area.

"I really like the Carver Center because they do a lot of work with underprivileged teens with their after school programs and helping them get on their feet," he said " It felt like it was a really good fit."

Kroll is known for performing as several characters, including "ladies man" and bouncer "Bobby Bottleservice," radio DJ "El Chupacabra" and craft services coordinator "Fabrice Fabrice." He said that a lot of his characters are based on people who can be found in the Westchester and New York City area.

"It's a county where you find all types of people," he said. "You've got some Bobby Bottleservices in Harrison, a couple of Ref Jeffs in White Plains, some Fabrices in Mount Vernon, C-Czars in New Rochelle. You've got a real cross-section of people all over Westchester."

It's been a busy year for Kroll. In addition to starring on "Kroll Show" and FXX's "The League," he was also named the Breakout Star of the Year at the 2013 at the 2013 Just for Laughs Comedy Festival, and was featured in the Comedy Central Roast of James Franco. Early next year he will be shooting the independent movie "Brother's Keeper" with Rose Byrne and Bobby Cannavale in New York City and New Rochelle.

Based on a story developed by Kroll and screenwriters Jeff Cox and Liz Flahive, Kroll plays a man who loses his job and has to leave Manhattan to live with his sister's family.

"I always like to keep trying new things, and I'm excited to explore this role. Playing a Westchester kid who lives in the city, it's something that is very close to my heart," he said. "It's very funny, and Rose and Bobby are incredibly talented. I'm excited to do it."

Tickets for the show are available on the Capitol Theatre's website.
