RYE, N.Y. – The Rye Free Reading Room has a host of family events at the end of August, including two children’s movie screenings and the summer reading program grand finale ice cream party.

Participants in the Rye Free Reading Room’s “Dream Big – Read” Summer Reading Program are invited to celebrate their achievements with a Grand Finale at the library at 6 p.m. Aug. 21. The evening will include a “Name That Tune” contest with Graham Clarke, the awarding of reading certificates and prizes and ice cream sundaes with lots of toppings. Registration is required.

The library will screen the family film “Mirror Mirror” rated-PG from 6-7:45 p.m. Aug. 28. Families with children ages 5 and up will see Snow White and seven rebellious dwarfs engage in an epic battle of good versus evil in a magical twist on the old story.
