RYE BROOK, N.Y. - Eileen C. Kelly, of Rye Brook, died Dec. 30. She was 91.
A member of the Rye Brook Senior Citizens, she spent much of her retirement helping those less able.
Born to Joseph and Lauretta Cahill in Mt. Vernon on Jan. 31, 1920, she married Francis A. Kelly in 1943. Kelly worked in Manhattan from 1937 to 1947 prior to the birth of her children.
She retired after 20 years from the Mt. Vernon Board of Education in 1983. Along with her husband, Kelly was a parishioner of St. Ursula's Church in Mt. Vernon until 1994 when they became members of Our Lady of Mercy Church in Port Chester.
Kelly was also a member of the Coveleigh Club in Rye since 1974, where she enjoyed tennis and lawn bowling. She formerly belonged to the New Rochelle Shore Club.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday at the Graham Funeral Home in Rye. The funeral mass will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Our Lady of Mercy Church.
