Retired Rye Brook Builder, Scinto Dies at 75

RYE BROOK, N.Y. - Carmine Giuseppe "Joseph" Scinto, of Rye Brook, died Nov. 15 at Greenwich Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was 75.

Born in Castelfranco in Miscano, Italy in 1936, he emigrated to Port Chester in 1955. Scinto worked in construction until his retirement in 2001. His greatest love was said to be his role as "nonno," or grandfather, to his seven young grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Raffaella Scinto, his son Renato Scinto, his daughter Lisa and his grandchildren.

Friends may call on the family at 8 a.m. on Saturday at Joseph Tutera Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at Corpus Christi Church in Port Chester. Entombment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Rye Brook.
