RYE, N.Y. Patricia Ann Vaughan of Rye died April 9. She was 65.
The daughter of the late Col. Charles Edward Peterson and Irma Fredricksen Peterson, she was born July 15, 1946 in Clarksville, Tenn. Vaughan spent her child traveling the world as the daughter of an Air Force officer, always "the new girl" in school.
After attending the University of Nebraska, she embarked on a 23-year career as a flight attendant with United Airlines. In 1976, she settled in Rye, where she was an active member of the 22nd Twig and the Woman's Club of Rye.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Alan C. Vaughan, her son, Brian, and her daughter-in-law, Rebecca.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. on Friday at Graham Funeral Home in Rye. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Church of the Resurrection in Rye.
