Larchmont's Voracious Reader Celebrates 'Girl Power' With Rye Author

LARCHMONT, N.Y. – “A Celebration of Girl Power” will be held on March 4 at The Voracious Reader bookstore in Larchmont.

The event will feature a book talk and signing with young adult author, Annabel Monaghan of Rye.

“A Celebration of Girl Power” is being sponsored in partnership with the Westchester County chapter of the non-profit literary organization Room to Read.

Monaghan, the author of the young adult novels “A Girl Named Digit” and “Double Digit,” will speak about female empowerment.

Monaghan is also a co-author of “Click! The Girl's Guide to Knowing What You Want and Making it Happen,” a non-fiction book aimed at empowering teenage girls to achieve their dreams.

Members of Room to Read will also discuss ways local teens can help support girls’ education in developing countries.

The free event will begin at 6:30 p.m. at The Voracious Reader, 1997 Palmer Ave., Larchmont.
