RYE, N.Y. – Golfers at the Rye YMCA’s annual golf fund-raiser Friday enjoyed a day of blue skies on the green, while helping raise money for kids to afford Y programs all year long.
The golf event is one of several events throughout the year that raise funds for the Y Cares Program. The financial assistance program helps support those who would otherwise not be able to participate at the Rye YMCA.
“We’ve awarded $506,000 so far this year to hundreds of families, youth and adults,” said Sally Wright, director of development, in a statement. “Fund-raising events and individual donations allow us to keep the doors of the Rye Y open to all.”
