RYE BROOK, N .Y. - Allan J. McDonnell of Rye Brook died Nov. 18 at Greenwich Hospital in Greenwich, Conn. He was 75.
Born on Oct. 9, 1936, he was a graduate of Pearl River High School. McDonnell then served in the US Navy before starting a 40-year career in sales.
A financial representative and manager for MetLife, he won numerous sales awards during his employment there. McDonnell was a sports fan and would enjoy attending his sons gaming events.
He is survived by his wife Helayne, his sons Michael (Debbie) McDonnell of Dobbs Ferry, Daniel (Julie) McDonnell of Louisville, Ky. and Allan McDonnell of Rye Brook, his sisters Hope Knight and Alicia McDonnell, his brother Richard McDonnell and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. on Monday at Graham Funeral Home in Rye. Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Pleasantville.
