RYE, N.Y. -- The Osborn Rehabilitation Center will display the art work of Swiss painter Brigitte Loritz.
Loritz will be exhibiting her watercolors through Oct. 2 in the Osborn's Artwork Gallery.
Her work has been shown widely in the Hudson Valley and Sound Shore communities.
She has been a long-time faculty member at the Rye Arts Center and is an artist-in-residence for the Port Chester Council for the Arts.
Originally from Switzerland, Loritz studied at the Kunstgewerbe Schule in Zurich and attended Parsons School of Design in Manhattan.
She refers to her style as semi-impressionistic.
"Watercolor opens a door to endless possibilities,” she said. “The so called ‘lucky accidents' combined with planned compositions are always challenging to me."
Loritz has paintings on display at General Electric’s home office in Stamford, Conn., as well as in private collections in the United States, Asia and Europe.
