RYE, N.Y. -- Jacques Loupiac, owner of La Panetière, the iconic Rye establishment known for its refined French food, credits his long tenure in the area to not tying to reinvent itself regularly and working with the seasons.
He also credits the restaurant's success to "loving your profession."
The gourmet Provence experience, an institution in Westchester, is celebrating its 31st anniversary this week with a $90 prix fixe menu featuring a lobster casserole and roast noisette of lamb, among other items. The special celebratory meal is being offered from Tuesday, August 2 to Thursday, August 4.
In general, expect escargots, soft shell crabs in season and desserts like caranoix, souffles, and a floating island.
