The Twilight Tuesdays concerts will be held on Tuesdays staring June 25. The concerts will be held rain or shine, except in case of thunderstorms. A couple dates have been set aside in case of thunderstorms. The concerts will begin at 7:30 p.m. and end at about 9 p.m. Admission is free, and parking is $5 after 4 p.m.
Seating will be available, but attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blankets. Picnicking is welcome, and dining or take-out is available at the nearby Seaside Johnnie's restaurant.
The first concert will be Twist of Fate on June 25. The five-member band is led by Adam and Dayna Reist and performs tropical music, reggae, ska and American pop. Dayna Reist also teaches second grade at Milton School.
On July 2 Carlos Jimenez and Mambo Dulcet will perform. Jimenez, a Yonkers resident, plays flute and is joined by guitarists, percussionists and other instruments to create a tropical sound.
Reddy Velentino Orchestra will perform swing music on July 9. The sixteen-member band features trumpets, trombones and reeds and have a big band sound.
Standards and Soul will perform July 16. The six-member band is led by keyboard artist Peter Salomon and plays a combination of rock, pop, light jazz standards and classic soul.
Billy and the Showmen will be the featured act on July 23. One of the region's most popular rhythm and blues bands, they feature soulful vocals and strong horn sections.
The Rye-based band the Derivatives will perform July 30. The six-member band has been a part of the Rye Town Park Twilight Tuesdays Series for many years.
The Angelo Rubino Band will conclude the series on August 13. The band plays a wide range of musical styles from the 1940s to the 1990s, including big band dance tunes, soft rock, doo-wop and Latin pop.
