Fogama In Rye Reviewed By New York Times

RYE, N.Y. – Fogama in Rye received a good rating in a New York Times review, which praised the restaurant for its ability to introduce sushi in a positive light to diners who aren’t that familiar with Asian dishes.

The Japanese restaurant, located at 92 Purchase St., offers diners pork gyoza, and “deftly” prepared shrimp and vegetable tempura, according to the Times.

Other favorite dishes were the lobster mango roll, broiled black cod, vegetable pad Tai and sautéed rice noodles with shrimp. Looking for something sweet? Try the Japanese cream puff (special), mocha or almond cookies, according to the review.

Fogama is open Mondays to Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sundays from 5-10 p.m. Reservations recommended.
