Friday, March 1

Prom Shopping Event: Store hours. Girls in need of a prom dress can purchase one during Weezie D’s Operation Prom event all weekend during store hours. Refreshments and music will be provided. The business will give away $5.00 gift certificates, which can be used on anything in the store during the collection, and donate 10 percent of all purchases to the cause during the drive. No minimum purchase is required. Clients can use up to four coupons. Suggested dresses include: cocktail dresses, gowns, and bridesmaid dresses. Acoustic Music at Meeting House: 8 p.m. Come to this special evening of music presented by the Committee to Save the Bird Homestead. Proceeds will benefit educational programs at the site and meeting house. Rye based musician and singer/songwriter Gary Adamson and percussionist Fred Wolcott will perform. Admission is $10 per person. Coffee and dessert will be available for sale. The Meeting House, 624 Milton Road. Rye.

Capitol Theatre Performance: 8 p.m. Comedian Jim Gaffigan will be performing two shows on Friday as part of “The America Tour,” sponsored by Comedy Central. There will be an early show starting at 8 p.m. and a late show at 11 p.m. This event is for those 18 and over. Tickets are $60 for seated orchestra, loge and balcony. Aqua Zumba at Carver Center: 5 p.m. Join Carver Center’s weekly aqua Zumba class. Free for members; $10 per class for non members. Port Chester Carver Center, 400 Westchester Ave., Port Chester.

Saturday, March 2

Capitol Theatre Performance: 8 p.m. The eight-piece outfit Deep Banana Blackout comes to the historic theater for a funky show. Electro-jazz funk band Kung Fu is scheduled to open.This event is for those 18 and over. Admission is general and standing-room only for floor and reserved seats in the loge and balcony. Tickets are $25 for balcony two, $30 for floor and balcony one and $45 for loge. To purchase tickets, visit The Capitol Theatre’s box office or event page. Sunday, March 3

Carver Center Fitness Center: 8 a.m.- 4 p.m. Carver Center members can get a workout in the gym. Port Chester Carver Center, 400 Westchester Ave., Port Chester.
