All Things Dr. Seuss: 3:30 p.m. Kids can celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday with stories, movies and crafts based on his books. Rye Free Reading Room, 1061 Boston Post Road.

Saturday, March 9

Save the Sound Presentation: 3 p.m. Tom Anderson, the New York program and communications coordinator for Save the Sound, will speak on "The Long Island Sound Cleanup: Where We Are, What is to be Done." Meeting House and Bird Homestead, 600 Milton Road.

Sunday, March 10

Jazz Brunch: Noon to 3 p.m. The Arcadia Jazz Trio will perform, with food provided by Corner Stone Caterers. Cost is $45 for adults, $20 for kids. Call 914-967-6080 for reservations. The Wainwright House, 260 Stuyvesant Ave.
