Preschool Story Time: 11 a.m. to noon. Children listen to age-appropriate stories and participate in fun games, rhymes and other activities to develop pre-literacy skills and an interest in books and reading. A craft project is designed around the story times theme or a seasonal topic. Parents and caregivers are asked to assist younger children using scissors, glue and other art materials. “Coping With Deer In The Garden and Landscape”: 3 p.m. The Committee to Save the Bird Homestead hosts a lecture and book signing by horticulturalist and garden writer Ruth Rogers Clausen at the Meeting House, 624 Milton Road in Rye. Admission is $5 per person at the door.
