What To Do In Rye This Weekend

Friday, Jan. 11 Wiggle and Giggle Time: 9:30 a.m., 10:15 a.m. and 11 a.m. Children will wiggle to music, giggle to funny rhymes and pretend to be wild animals in this lively program. Rye Free Reading Room, 1061 Boston Post Road, Rye.

Teen Gaming Fridays: 3:15-5 p.m. Every first and third Friday of the month play all of the Wii games on the big screen at the Rye Free Reading Room Meeting Room, 1061 Boston Post Road, Rye.

Aqua Zumba at Carver Center: 5 p.m. Join  Carver Center’s weekly Aqua Zumba class at 400 Westchester Ave., Port Chester. Free for members; $10 per class for nonmembers.

Guster at The Capitol Theatre: 8 p.m. Doors for all shows open at 6:30 p.m. and music begins at 8 p.m. Admission is $36. The Capitol Theatre, 149 Westchester Ave., Port Chester.

Saturday, Jan. 19 Preschool Story Time: 11 a.m. to noon. Children listen to age-appropriate stories and participate in fun games, rhymes and other activities to develop pre-literacy skills and an interest in books and reading. A fun craft project is designed around the story times’s theme or a seasonal topic. Parents and caregivers are asked to assist younger children using scissors, glue and other art materials. Rye Free Reading Room, 1061 Boston Post Road, Rye.

Children’s book author Linda Petrie Bunch: 2 p.m. The program includes a doggie craft and a visit from a “mystery guest.” Petrie Bunch’s books, “A Snow Day for Hannah” and “A Beach Day for Hannah.” The Rye Free Reading Room is at 1061 Boston Post Road, Rye.
