RYE, N.Y. -- The Westchester County Association's Melissa Brett will be the guest speaker at the Westfair Tech Ventures meeting Monday, Nov. 4 in Rye.
Brett, the executive director of economic development, is scheduled to speak at the fair, which starts at 7 p.m., at Serendipity Labs in Rye. Brett is set to speak on the "implementation of 'Blueprint for Westchester,' a multimillion dollar initiative to revitalize Westchester’s economy," according to a press release.
"Join us to learn more about this economic development strategy in Westchester County," representatives said in the release. "Brett has more than a dozen years of experience in economic development and commercial real estate marketing."
Before joining the WCA in July 2011, Brett was vice president of the Hudson Valley Economic Development Corporation "where she evaluated economic development efforts throughout the county as a guide in determining the right course of action for the Hudson Valley," according to the release.
The Westfair Tech Ventures group is "dedicated to supporting technology professionals and early- stage company entrepreneurs seeking resources, guidance, talent and capital to advance their ventures," according to the release.
