RYE, N.Y. — Rye's Wainwright House has announced its upcoming schedule of events.
Laura Gauld will run “Parenting: The Biggest Job Workshop,” a program designed to help parents be better role models for their children, on Tuesday, Jan. 27, at either 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. or 7 to 9 p.m. A $10 donation is required.
Next is a five-week workshop led by Judith Martin, “A Consumer's Guide To A Green, Energy Efficient Home.” Martin is the founder of Green Home Consulting, and will bring in guest speakers during the program, which will be held on Friday mornings from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
The first week (Jan. 30) deals with energy efficiency, the second (Feb. 6) with green heating systems, the third (Feb. 13) with water heating and purification, the fourth (Feb. 27) with air quality and the last (March 6) deals with building and renovating green homes.
Lastly, Dr. Catherine Sweet will present “Biomagnetism & Your Health” on Tuesday, Feb. 3, from 7 to 9 p.m., a presentation on how magnetic 'life fields' change with health and disease.
