David Justin Button, of Pittstown, died at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown following the Dec. 6 crash, his obituary says.

Born in Hackettstown, Button grew up in Pittstown and attended Immaculate Conception School in Annandale before graduating from Delaware Valley Regional High School in 2013.

A skilled and passionate carpenter, Button is remembered as a quick learner who “enjoyed making people smile throughout the day,” his memorial says.

Button had also spent the past three years as a member of Local 254, the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America while working for Anderson Interiors Contracting, Inc. in Fairfield.

“He truly loved going to work each day,” his obituary says.

Outside of work, Button was an incredible fisherman who loved sharing his catches of the day with his many close friends.

“He shared generously — he supplied many a fish dinner for family and friends,” says his obituary.

Button leaves behind his loving parents, Frederick and Linda (Laba) Button; his sister and her husband, Amy and Justin Stem; his nephew, Tucker J. Stem; his girlfriend, Sarah Housman; as well as numerous extended family members and close friends, several of whom shared their immense grief on social media:

Button’s funeral was held Dec. 14 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church on White Bridge Road in Pittstown.
