Shortly before 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 29, North Babylon resident April Beebe attempted to enter the parking lot of the prison to bail out an inmate.

While attempting to enter, a computer check of Beebe’s vehicle showed that its registration was suspended for a lack of insurance, and found that her driver’s license had been suspended due to having an uninsured vehicle.

According to the Suffolk County Sheriff, the license plates of Beebe’s vehicle were confiscated, and her car was towed from the parking lot. Beebe was taken into custody and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operating a vehicle while the registration is suspended, operating a vehicle without proper insurance and not surrendering her registration plates.

No return court date for Beebe has been announced.
