RYE, N.Y. -- Zombies, ghouls, ghosts and creeps eagerly await residents at the “Scared by the Sound” Haunted House at Playland Park in Rye.
Visitors are invited into the 10,000-square-foot haunt, which features the Crypt Walk, Haunted Wine Cellar, Creepy Morgue, Tunnels of Doom plus some all-new scenes. In addition, test survival skills in the all new outdoor Black-Out Maze.
Hours for “Scared by the Sound” are Fridays, 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Saturdays, 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Sundays, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday, Oct. 31 and Saturday, Nov. 1, 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Light refreshments and beverages will be available for purchase each evening.
Admission for “Scared by the Sound” is $16. To purchase tickets online, visit scaredbythesound.com.

The event is not recommended for children under 10 alone or with an adult, nor is it advised that persons with medical conditions or those adversely affected by strobe lighting or fog attend.
“Scared by the Sound” is held rain or shine and parking for the attraction is free. The park’s amusement rides will not be open. Enter the attraction area near the Fountain Plaza entrance.

Playland, a Westchester County Park, can be reached via the New England Thruway (I-95), Playland Parkway exit 19.
