But the holiday fun’s not over yet.

In January, the historic 1780 mansion on five acres overlooking Milton Harbor will be the setting for a film screening, brunch and a wine tasting.

“December was an exciting month for Wainwright House”, said Bill Guyre, president of its board of trustees. “Hundreds of new people visited Wainwright in addition to our members who enjoyed classes and programs; and, coming attractions for 2017 promise to be just as exciting for our neighbors and friends!”

  • On Saturday, Jan. 7, there will be a free screening of “Julia & Julia,” a foodie film favoriate.
  • On Sunday, Jan. 15, Wainwright House will launch its Sundays on the Sound Music Brunch Series. It will feature a performance by Rye’s own Gary Adamson.
  • On Saturday, Jan. 28, there will be a Sparkling Reception and Wine Pairing Dinner. It will include artisan wines of France paired with French cuisine a la Julia Child.

Wainwright House is located at 260 Stuyvesant Ave.
