RYE, N.Y. -- Celebrate the holidays with tea and tales Saturday and Sunday with “A Dickens of a Weekend” from 10-4 p.m. at the Wainwright House in Rye.
The weekend will feature free arts and crafts for kids, holiday snacks and refreshments, live music, a hand bell choir, an Irish dance troop, a marionette show, a caricature artist, a holiday cooking demonstration, free souvenir photos, a raffle and a holiday marketplace offering handcrafted and unique gifts
Author Alyssa Capucilli, creator of the BISCUIT children’s books, will make a special appearance Saturday from 9-10 a.m. Meet Capucilli during the special appearance for children 3 and up and their parents. Hear her read a favorite BISCUIT tale and get an autograph for any books purchased at the on-site book sale. Tickets are $8 per adult and $5 per child. Click here to register.
The weekend will also include a special visit from a mystery guest and an opportunity to pose for photos. Adults receive a free ticket for “A Dickens of A Weekend” raffle gift.
