Rye Teens To Appear In 'Legally Blonde'

RYE/PORT CHESTER, N.Y. – Teens from Rye, Rye Brook and Port Chester will appear in “Legally Blonde” at The Tarrytown Music Hall beginning Jan. 26.

The show includes Rye and Rye Brook residents Hadley Durkee, Alison Pearle, Sarah Rossman, Emily Kitchin, Emma DePaola, Samantha Gibbs and Sarah Ackerman, as well as Danielle Winchester of Port Chester.

"Legally Blonde," originally a blockbuster movie starring Reese Witherspoon, became a Broadway hit in 2007 after MTV aired a reality show competition seeking a new star to play Elle Woods, a Malibu sorority girl who follows her ex-boyfriend to Harvard Law School.

The Random Farms Kids' Theater will present the musical at The Tarrytown Music Hall, 13 Main St., Tarrytown from Jan. 26 through Feb. 3.

"Legally Blonde is a singing, dancing, hairstyling, jump roping, cheerleading, crime-stopping extravaganza.  Our performances feature amazing performers who have been working tirelessly to bring you this exciting, high-energy Broadway musical," director Alexis Grausz of the Random Farms Kids' Theater said in a release.

The performances are at 3 and 8 p.m. Jan. 26, 1 and 7 p.m. Jan. 27, 7 p.m. Feb. 1, 8 p.m. Feb. 2 and 1 and 8 p.m. Feb. 3.

Tickets for "Legally Blonde" are $18 for adults, $16 for students and seniors and $14 for groups of 20 and more. Premium seats are $23.
