Friday's meeting begins at noon, and includes lunch at Whitby Castle off of Boston Post Road (Route 1) in Rye.

Pilla, a Democrat, was first elected into public office in 2006 as a Village of Port Chester trustee, and then as mayor in 2007.

Pilla was first elected village mayor in 2007, but was defeated in 2013 by Neil Pagano, a Republican who decided not to seek reelection last spring. Pilla won another two-year term in March 2015 as reported here by Daily Voice in a narrow victory over village Trustee Gene Ceccarelli who ran on the Republican and Conservative party lines.

The village mayor previously held management positions at GE Capital, Citigroup, PepsiCo and Time Warner. He also provided business consulting and strategic planning services to Ernst & Young and The Johnsson Group.

Pilla lives in Port Chester with his wife Margoth. They have one grown son, David, who is married and lives in Chicago with his family.
