RYE, NY - About 150 people gathered at Rye Country Day School recently for the Parkinson's Disease Foundation's 9th annual Music for Parkinson's Concert. The event raised over $40,000 for the foundations research programs.
The concert featured music from internationally renowned pianist Gena Reps, the Attaca Quartert, and renowned flutist Carol Wincec.
David Eger, a practicing clinical psychologist and Co-Chair of PDFs People with Parkinsons Advisory Council, is one of the co-founders of the event.
Year after year, we come one step closer to improving the lives and futures of the nearly one million people in the US living with Parkinsons disease," Eger said.
PDF Executive Director Robin Elliot was complimentary of Eger and all he has done for the foundation.
"We were pleased to work with him again on this wonderful concert, which raises vital funds for research and provides a lovely gathering of friends and supporters of the Parkinsons cause." Elliot said.
To date the Music for Parkinson's has raised over $375,000 in Parkinson's disease research.
