Rye Arts Center Exhibits 'Inspired: Masters And Students'

RYE, N.Y. – The Rye Arts Center is hosting “Inspired: Masters and Students” exhibition by Ouattara Watts and Bradley Theodore, with The Young Men of the Youth Shelter Program of Westchester, Wednesday, Sept. 9 through Saturday, Sept. 12.

An opening reception for the exhibition will be held Thursday, Sept. 10 from 6-8 p.m.

“Inspired” features paintings by master artists Watts, Theodore, Hale Woodruff, Charles Alston, Bob Thompson, Faith Ringgold, Joe Overstreet, Phillip Hampton and Bill Hutson, along with works by the Young Men of the Youth Shelter Program of Westchester. The exhibition has been curated by Omo Misha and highlights the talent and vibrant spirits of the young men in tandem with works from some of the most celebrated contemporary and historic artists.

The student works were created during a workshop series led by Watts at four art centers throughout the county: Pelham Arts Center, ArtsWestchester HQ, Katonah Museum of Art and Rye Arts Center.

The Rye Arts Center is located at 51 Milton Road, Rye.
