Suspect On Loose After Knifepoint 7-Eleven Robbery In Massapequa

A suspect is at large after an overnight, knifepoint robbery at a 7-Eleven on Long Island.

According to Nassau County Police detectives, the man entered the 7-Eleven located in Massapequa at 4222 Sunrise Highway just after 1 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7 with a knife. 

The suspect jumped over the counter and attempted to use the knife to pry the register open, police said. He was unsuccessful and threw the register to the floor, causing it to open. The suspect then removed an undisclosed amount of currency and fled westbound on Sunrise Highway.

The suspect is described as a white man wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, black pants and a gray/white baseball hat.
