Seven People Displaced By Fire In Bridgeport Condos

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — The Bridgeport Fire Department extinguished a multi-alarm blaze Sunday night at a condo complex that displaced seven people.

At 7:28 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a fire at two condos near Alanson Road and Connecticut Avenue, a fire department spokesman said. 

Upon arrival, firefighters evacuated everyone from the residences. 

Firefighters reported that the blaze was under control by 8:50 p.m., and that four adults and three children have been displaced. 

No injuries were reported due to the fire.  

The cause of the fire was unknown Sunday night, but it was under active investigation.

The Red Cross was on the scene to assist with finding shelter for the seven people who were displaced by the fire.

The fire marshal, utility company, and gas company were all contacted regarding the incident.
