"Outside the Box" will display life-size portraits of the town's citizens in front of Bedford's historic properties. Each black and white photograph is printed on aluminum and comes from the Society's archives.

“We hope that the arresting juxtaposition of century old, life-size photos in and around modern day Bedford will engage young and old alike, attracting attention both to Bedford’s historical continuum and by extension – to the Historical Society’s role in bringing that history to life,” said Stacy Albanese, Board of Directors President and originator of the exhibit.

The Society will hold a Centennial Ball on Saturday, May, 21. The event is sold out.

The exhibit will run until September.

“Each of the aociety’s events this year is a reminder that history is both relevant and meaningful," said Executive Director Lynn Ryan. "‘Outside the Box’ literally brings history to life for residents and visitors who can interact with the exhibit and get a sense of the people who were part of Bedford’s past.”
