Video: Suspect At Large After Armed Robbery At Long Island Automotive Store

An alert has been issued for a wanted man who was caught on camera robbing a Long Island business at gunpoint.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Seventh Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a man who robbed a business in Sound Beach in October.

The suspect displayed a handgun at CND Automotive on Echo Avenue in Sound Beach at approximately 8:50 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, demanding cash, Suffolk County Police said.

In the video, the suspect can be seen in a black sweatshirt, dark pants, and a mask, marching a store employee into the store with a gun pointed to his back, blocking the suspect’s face from his view. The employee then went into a cash register and handed over an undisclosed amount of cash.

Anyone who knows the suspect, or who has information regarding the armed robbery has been asked to contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-220-TIPS or texting “SCPD” with the message to 274637.
