RYE, N.Y. -- My Sisters' Place, a Westchester County-based organization that works to fight domestic violence, received more than $33,500 in donations from "A Taste of Rye" last month.
The event was a restaurant crawl allowing participants to sip, snack and stroll across nine different Rye restaurants, including Ruby’s Oyster Bar, Morgan’s Fish House, Encore, Town Dock, Rye Bar & Grill, Fogama, Aurora, Frankie & Johnnie’s Steakhouse, and Wine at Five, which offered a wine tasting.
Tickets to the event were sold for $50, and additional funds were raised with a silent auction featuring items provided by local Rye merchants. Some of the items included four tickets to a New York Giants game with a parking pass, as well as a signed jersey from wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.
