According to a lohud report, the New York State Liquor Authority has revoked the liquor license at The Mansion on North Third Avenue in the wake of a fatal holiday shooting that left several others injured.

Last week, 41-year-old Bronx resident Errol Hillary pleaded not guilty in Westchester County Court to felony charges that include second-degree murder, criminal possession of a weapon, assault and attempted murder.

According to police, gunshots were fired at around 4:26 a.m. Christmas morning after the club's owner, the 36-year-old Bandoo and security kicked out Hillary, who subsequently opened fire in the lobby. Security guards, with an assist from Mount Vernon police officers who were on patrol in the area, tackled and apprehended him as he attempted to flee.

In total, five people at the party suffered gunshot wounds and required medical treatment, while Bandoo lost his life.

"Thank God that our police were on the scene and were able to apprehend the suspect. We thank our public safety officers particularly our partners at Empress Ambulance who rapidly responded to administer aid, as well as our Fire Department who provided additional support," Mount Vernon Mayor Richard Thomas said at the time of the shooting.

"We also thank the Westchester District Attorney for being on hand to ensure a dose of Strong Justice will be served. Grief counselors will remain available to all who need an additional outlet for consolation. The scumbag that committed this brutal crime must be penalized to the fullest extent of the law.”
