The business was started by Robert Porto's father, Larry and uncle Alfred in 1947. Larry Porto was a professional photographer.

The business still has cameras and film for sale.

Although most people are taking photos on iPhones these days, not everyone is a good photographer. Porto demonstrated how photos can be transferred onto a large screen and he can "Photoshop" them until they are perfect.

Wondering what to do with boxes of old photos piling up at home and photo albums collecting dust--Rye Camera Shop can make videos out of them. People are also preparing video montages for funerals too.

Robert Porto uses Adobe Shop Master.

The business also provides photography to local country clubs and affairs.
