RYE, N.Y. – Lawmakers are considering a reduced cost for proposed renovations at Rye Playland in return for new management for the park, according to lohud.com.
Standard Amusements and Westchester County reached a deal last summer to have the company take over park operations in exchange for renovations, but the original cost of the work was $58 million, said lohud.com.
Last week, the company sent the county a revised total of $32 million, reported lohud.com.
The new number covers work to the park's colonnades and towers and a comprehensive parking lot project, lohud.com said.Read the lohud.com article here.
